A Thoughtful Approach to Movement

Teaching Rooted in Precision and Care

I teach with close attention to alignment, control, and intricate details that can change how a movement feels in the body. My goal is not simply to guide clients through exercises, but to help them understand the work and develop a stronger understanding of their body in motion.

That means taking time to refine, adjust, and approach each session with care. Real progress comes from consistency, clarity, and learning the method in a way that feels steady, supported, and purposeful.

The Story Behind Pilates in the Roe

Pilates became deeply personal to me after years of childhood hip issues and a L1 burst fracture that changed my own experience with movement. During that time, a neurosurgeon recommended Pilates as the best course of action rather than surgery. That recommendation became a turning point. What began as a path to recovery became a way to rebuild strength, reconnect with my body, and develop a deep respect for thoughtful, precise movement.

Over time, Pilates became much more than exercise to me. It taught me the value of alignment, control, and consistency; while showing me how meaningful movement can build not only strength but also confidence and trust in the body.

That experience eventually led me to pursue my comprehensive Pilates certification through Function Pilates in Tempe, Arizona. With a background in mathematics, I bring a natural sense of precision to the way I teach and a strong appreciation for how the body works.

Pilates in the Roe grew from that journey. It reflects the care, attention, and purpose I bring to every session, as well as the kind of experience I wanted to create for others through thoughtful, one-on-one instruction.
